Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit West Midnapore and Jhargram on Tuesday and Wednesday. He will hold administrative meetings in both the districts. It is not clear whether he will return to Kolkata on Wednesday or return to the city from Jhargram on Thursday night. According to a section of the administration, whether the chief minister will be in Jhargram on Wednesday depends on how long the administrative meeting lasts.

Mamata has started her district tour through North Bengal in the Corona situation. He held an administrative meeting there. It is seen that after that West Midnapore and Jhargram were included in his tour list. Incidentally, the Trinamool did not do very well in the last Lok Sabha polls, just like in North Bengal. From which a section of the party is drawing conclusions, the Chief Minister has fixed the schedule of his district tour in view of the result of the Lok Sabha vote. So that there is speed in the administrative work before the vote. In addition, one or more times before the vote so that he can go back to those districts and keep a record of the progress of the work.

Mamata will reach Khargpur by 4 pm on Tuesday. There he will hold an administrative meeting. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh won the Khargpur seat in the last Lok Sabha polls. However, in the subsequent by-elections, the BJP lost the Khargpur assembly seat to the Trinamool. Incidentally, Dilip was the MLA of that constituency. He won the seat and became a Member of Parliament. Mamata’s choice of venue for the administrative meeting is clear: she has decided to face the challenge directly by standing in Dilip’s fort.
